Cape Town By Night
When in Cape Town don't miss out on - Sunset over Camps Bay beach while having a drink at one of the trendy spots overlooking the ocean. Blues Restaurant is a Cape Town institution known for its fantastic seafood platters and outrageous cocktails. Just be sure to book in advance so you can secure your seat. Along this strip is where the trendy and beautiful people converge.
- Loop Street is one big happening where restaurants with balconies overlooking the street are popular for drinks and al fresco dining. Jazz bars, nightspots and funky late-night coffee shops keep this street going all night long. Just start walking and fall in where the vibe appeals.
- Not far from Loop Street, Greenmarket Square and Heritage Square are a hub of fun, yet up-market eateries. Cobble-stoned and boasting beautiful architecture from yesteryear, both are a must-see. Kick up your heels at a coffee shop in Greenmarket Square and watch the world go by - it is definitely one of the citys meeting places. Serious diners should head for Heritage Square and visit the Africa Cafe with its four gloriously decorated rooms Zulu, Egyptian, Moroccan and Ndebele. Food-wise it will take you from Cape to Cairo and back. A superb place.
- Observatory is the home of the alternative and arty crowd. As with Loop Street you can park anywhere and for the rest of the evening walk from the pool hall to the bar to the restaurant and the music or dance venue of your choice. A little out of the way but more than worth the effort, Observatory is full of interesting shops, art exhibitions and unusual creations.
- The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront area on the harbour is like Disneyland for adults. It offers movies, music, live performances, plenty of restaurants, buskers, jazz musicians and sailors who all converge here to play, play, play.
- Another fabulous walk at sunset is through the Bo-Kaap area where the Cape Malay people (of Indonesian origin) live. At Marco's  African Place the food is as authentic as the live bands that spice things up.
- A truly spectacular evening out would be to drive via Chapman's  Peak to Kalk Bay and spend the evening exploring the interesting streets heading up the mountain with their shops, restaurants and music venues. The Cape to Cuba restaurant not only enjoys a spectacular view over the Bay but the vibe is all mad fun and the decor and cocktails enough to keep your eyes busy all night.
- Visiting a shebeen or tavern in one of Cape Town's vibrant townships is a must. The well-organised adventures are always incredibly well received by our visitors from abroad. Go and hang with the locals, listen to the township sounds and jive to the authentic sounds of the township musicians. A number of exclusive township packages are available to ensure that our visitors are safe, secure and enjoy the best possible township experience.
