Below are answers to some common questions about our Africa Travel Insurance. This describes only the highlights of the Protection Plan. You will be provided with a full description of coverage, conditions and exclusions when you purchase the plan. Please note: Residents of Washington State will receive a separate description of coverage in compliance with state requirements. This coverage is in excess of any other coverage or indemnity, except Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Common Carrier (Air Only) and Optional Medical Upgrade.
What does it cost ?
The cost of your premium is based on your age and the total cost of your trip. Please use the chart below to calculate your premium. The premiums listed are based on trips with a maximum duration of 30 days. For trips over 30 days add $5 per person per day

Kids are Free
All children under 18 receive free protection. Children must be traveling with and be related to the primary adult enrolled in the protection plan. Optional Coverage only applies when requested on the application and the appropriate additional plan cost has been paid. Children under 18 receive the Cancel for Any Reason and Cancel for Work Reason coverage free when traveling with and related to the primary adult who purchases the optional coverage. The purchase of Accidental Death & Dismemberment Common Carrier (Air Only), Medical Upgrade, and Sports Coverage must apply to all travelers, including kids traveling free with related paying adult.

Below are the highlights of the Worldwide Trip Protection Plan offered by Travel Insured International. You will be provided a full decription of benefits, conditions, limitations and exclusions of the plan, once purchased.
TRAVEL PROTECTION
Trip Cancellation - Up to Trip Cost*
- Protect your travel investment if you cancel your trip due to a listed reason. (Please contact us for details of current listed reasons)
- Trip Interruption - Up to 150% of Trip Cost**
Protect your travel investment if you interrupt your trip due to a listed reason. **$500 Return Air Only if $0 Trip cost is selected.
- Missed Connection - $500 (3 Hours)
Reimburse you for additional transportation if you miss your connection.
- Trip Delay - $1000 ($200/day/6hours)
Reimburse you for additional accommodations or travel expenses if you are delayed.
- Pet Care - $300 ($50 per day)
BAGGAGE PROTECTION
Baggage & Personal Effects - $1,000**
** Baggage and Personal Effects has a per article limit of $250. There is a combined maximum limit of $500 for valuables.
- Safeguard your luggage if it is lost, stolen or damaged while on your trip.
- Baggage Delay - $300
Reimburse you for the purchase of essential items if your baggage is delayed for more than12 hours.
MEDICAL PROTECTION
Emergency Accident and Sickness Medical Expense - $25,000/$50 deductible
- Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains - $500,000
Provides for evacuation and transportation to the nearest adequate medical facility.
TRAVEL ACCIDENT PROTECTION
Accidental Death & Dismemberment - $25,000

Are optional additional coverages available ?
OPTIONAL COVERAGES
Cancel for Any Reason (Not available to residents of Washington State)
Cancel your trip up to 48 hours before departure and receive up to 75% reimbursement of your non-refundable trip cost. Must be purchased within 14 days of your initial trip deposit. Not available for policies with $0 Trip Cost
Plan Cost: Multiply Base Plan Cost by 1.5 per adult
Cancel for Work Reasons (Not available to residents of Washington State)
Provides Trip Cancellation and Interruption for business-related reasons. Coverage must be purchased within 14 days of your initial trip deposit.
Plan Cost: $24 per adult
Collision Damage Waiver (Not available to residents of Texas and Washington State)
Covers collision damage to a rental car during the selected term of coverage, up to $50,000.
Plan Cost: $7 per day
Medical Upgrade*
Increase your Emergency Medical Expense of $25,000 for a total of $50,000. Increase your Emergency Evacuation, Medically Necessary Repatriation and Repatriation of Remains of $500,000 for a total of $1 million.
Plan Cost: $25 per person
Sports Coverage*
Combined maximum limit of $1,000 per person. Covers prepaid, non-refundable ski passes, ski or equipment rentals, or greens fees. Protects with equipment rental reimbursement if your own equipment is delayed or misdirected by Common Carrier.
Plan Cost: $25 per person
Optional Coverage only applies when requested on the application and the appropriate additional plan cost has been paid. Children under 18 receive the Cancel for Any Reason and Cancel for Work Reasons coverage free when traveling with and related to the primary adult who purchases the optional coverages.

Once I purchase the policy can I cancel it ?
You may cancel the Protection Plan by giving Travel Insured written notice within either fourteen (14) days from the date of issuance of Your protection plan, or Your Scheduled Departure Date whichever occurs first, provided You have not submitted a claim. If You do this, they will refund Your plan cost in full (less the $6.00 administration fee). If past fourteen days, your plan cost is nonrefundable.
